Our Primary Regulations
We invite you to consult our Welcome Guide for a complete listing of our rules and regulations, as well as important information about La Maison Au Diapason.
Visitors
La Maison accepts visitors 24 hours a day according to the patient’s wishes. There are no restrictions as to the number of vistors allowed or the length of visits. However, if the patient or the family wishes to restrict visits, they can notify the nursing staff.
Room for Families
A room for families is available for visitors at a small fee. Requests for this service must be made at the reception desk the day the rental is needed, between 9:00 am and 11:00 am. The room is available as of 3:00 pm and must be vacated by 11:00 am the next morning.
Meals
Meals and snacks for patients can be served in their room if requested. The schedule for meals is flexible. The nursing team can assist with patient needs outside of kitchen and dining room hours. However, caregivers and visitors must have their meals in the dining room and must respect the kitchen’s regular hours of operation. The kitchen can serve a maximum of three people per room, per meal and a two-hour notice must be provided to the kitchen staff.
Families can bring prepared meals for the patient. A small refrigerator is located in each patient room and a microwave is available in the dining room. It is also possible to order take-out, at the patient’s or family’s expense. A list of restaurants that deliver to La Maison Au Diapason is available at the front reception desk.
Domestic Animals
The patient’s family may bring a domestic animal to La Maison Au Diapason for a visit of a few hours. They must advise the nursing staff beforehand and respect the following rules:
- Visitors must closely monitor the animal;
- The animal must remain in the patient’s room with the door closed;
- Outside the room, the animal must be on a leash or in a transport cage;
- The animal must not be bothersome to other occupants;
- Animals are not permitted at night.
Note: The term domestic animal refers to dogs, cats and birds. For all other animals, arrangements must be made with the nursing staff.
Smoking
La Maison Au Diapason is a non-smoking environment. A designated smoking area is located outside, in front of La Maison. Smoking is prohibited in all other areas. If a patient wishes to smoke, he must at all times be accompanied by a family member.
