Become a Volunteer: Palliative Care Workshop and Training
Synopsis
Au Diapason works with people confronted with cancer, caregivers, terminally-ill patients and bereaved adults and children. L’Équipe d’accompagnement Au Diapason therefore offers a palliative care workshop and training session.
This 14 hour workshop is necessary for all those wishing to become volunteers with Diapason.

Objectives
- Introduce the concepts of palliative care and support;
- Raise awareness of the various issues related to supporting an individual at this stage;
- Raise awareness around the needs of patients and families during the course of the illness and at the end of life;
- Provide an opportunity to reflect on the meaning of suffering and death.
Target Audience
All those wishing to become volunteers with Diapason.

Cost
$90
L’Équipe d’accompagnement Au Diapason will reimburse the cost of the training session to volunteers who have completed 150 hours of volunteer work.
