Become A Volunteer
L’Équipe d’accompagnement Au Diapason offers services to people newly diagnosed with cancer, whether in treatment or not, at the end of life stage, to patients’ loved ones and to grieving individuals. Our team of volunteers offers attentive listening, companionship and support to patients and their loved ones with the utmost respect for privacy and confidentiality.
There are several volunteer opportunities available. Please click on the following types of volunteering to obtain more information.
Volunteer opportunities with residents on the territories served:
- At home services;
- Bereavement services: groups for adults, adolescents and children;
- Individual bereavement follow-up.
Volunteer opportunities at BMP or Granby Hospitals:
Volunteer opportunities at La Maison Au Diapason :
- Patient care and support;
- Reception;
- Kitchen;
- Interior and exterior maintenance;
- Fundraising activities with the Foundation.
Several other opportunities are available with La Maison or with patients, including: decorating for festive occasions, music, singing, reading, etc.

Please note that anyone wishing to become a volunteer must take the Diapason’s free basic training “Initiation to palliative care accompaniment”. An individual interview will take place afterwards. It is not necessary for volunteers assisting with fundraising activities to follow this workshop. An individual interview will be scheduled.
