At La Maison Au Diapason, patient care and services are provided by a multidisciplinary team:<\/p>\n
Nurses<\/strong><\/p>\n The nursing staff is present 24 hours a day. \u00a0They oversee the comfort of patients and symptom control, supervise the activities of volunteers and communicate with the medical team to ensure continuity of care.<\/p>\n Physicians<\/strong><\/p>\n The medical team consists of a group of experienced physicians in palliative care. Each physician is responsible for a weekly shift that ensures a presence in the evening, at night and during weekends. A physician is present during the day Monday to Friday.<\/p>\n Volunteers<\/strong><\/p>\n Volunteers assist nurses in routine activities such as hygiene, feeding, moving patients and providing support. All volunteers are rigorously selected and receive extensive training allowing to work at patients’ bedsides.<\/p>\n Psychological Support<\/b>*<\/p>\n A psychologist offers psychological support. This professional is present at La Maison every Thursday morning from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.<\/p>\n Spiritual Support<\/strong>*<\/p>\n The individual beliefs of each patient and his or her family are respected. A spiritual resource can come to La Maison for exchanges or to offer pastoral services.
